Earthaven's Green Building Practices:
The Earthaven Green Home Project was designed by Chuck Silver and was inspired by Lisa's love of Prairie and Japanese Farmhouse designs. It will be Energy Star labeled and also adheres to our strict guidelines for what we feel makes an ecologically friendly, healthy home. The home is situated on 8.66 beautiful, protected acres in Red Hook, NY. Its neighbors consist of a horse farm, a goat & sheep farm, an organic farm (Hearty Roots) and the Common Fire Housing Co-op, a LEED Platinum Certified dwelling.
The building is approximately 3,200 square feet, is
Handicap Accessible, and qualifies for New York State and Federal Alternative Energy Tax Incentives.
